About Talia
Bringing Dutch postpartum care to families everywhere
My training
I’m a Netherlands-trained nurse specializing in newborn and postpartum care. I studied the Dutch kraamzorg model—a structured, evidence-based approach to the first weeks after birth that prioritizes mother’s recovery as the foundation for healthy family adjustment.
After nursing school, I worked in hospital settings in the Netherlands, caring for newborns and families during their most delicate and emotional moments. I saw firsthand how much difference structured, calm, professional support made.
My philosophy
I believe every family deserves professional, compassionate postpartum support, and that the mother’s recovery is a core part of how the whole family adjusts. Not just advice, but hands-on, structured guidance that helps families rest, recover, and feel confident in the first weeks.
Postpartum care should never feel overwhelming. It should feel calm, respectful, and empowering. My role is to guide gently, answer without judgment, and help you build the routines and habits that make daily life feel manageable.
Care is not only focused on the baby’s well-being—it’s about mother’s recovery and emotional state. That’s the core of what I do.
Why I built the app
My hands can only reach a limited number of local families. But the philosophy itself—the structured, evidence-based approach, the emphasis on rest and recovery, the practical guidance—can support families everywhere.
So I built the Talia app to bring kraamzorg principles to families globally. It’s digital access to the same care philosophy, with guidance, tracking, and a knowledge base developed from years of experience, whether a family can book me in person or not.
Continuous learning
I believe in staying current and learning from every family I work with. That’s why I track outcomes, collect data, and continuously expand the knowledge base in the app.
Every interaction, every question, every mom’s journey informs how the app evolves. This is my life’s work—not just because of professional credentials, but because I love postpartum care. I love the work of helping mothers feel supported during one of the most transformative periods of their lives.
